This month we’re highlighting some of the highest rated drivers in Manchester and first up we’re featuring Babar. A driver with more than 13 years of experience driving around Greater Manchester.
Going for a quick drive with Babar we were able to learn firsthand why he is continually rated 5-stars. As a family man having a flexible schedule is very important to him, he usually drives during the day and tries to map out ideal driving times around peak times.
Babar has been on the road with Bolt since arriving in Manchester in April 2022. His first time learning about Bolt was when he was visiting London and used it to get around the city. “I used it in London as a rider and I found it very good and couldn’t wait to have it here in Manchester. I tried other apps, but as soon as Bolt arrived I signed-up.”
Since signing-up he’s been pleased with Bolt being in the city, notably he spoke highly of support he’s received when processing documents to get on the road driving.
“I have faced a lot of difficulties with other ride-hailing companies, especially when I had to change my car and upload my documents. Sometimes this was stopping me from working during the weekend, which is the busiest time for drivers. However, the Bolt team has been very cooperative and their systems work very fast, making it a hassle-free experience for me. The big difference for me is the support from the team. One example was when someone from the Bolt office personally helped me out when I changed my licensing documents they were so professional and helped me to get working again and on the road in only 30 minutes.”
We wanted to get Babar’s advice on what other people who are considering driving as a profession should keep in mind when driving in Manchester. His advice: “Being patient and professional is the key.”
For Babar getting the basics right is key. He mentions how Manchester can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with the streets because “there are lots of roads with the same name and one-way roads. If you lack focus and don’t concentrate you can make easy mistakes.”
Another way that Babar is able to have a great relationship with customers is by being easy-going when it comes to music requests. As an avid lover of music he mentioned that he’s willing to allow you to connect to his Bluetooth, “Yes, I love music. I also ask my passengers which type of music they would like to listen to. I don’t understand all the different languages but I let them pick when they ask me”.
Babar’s easy-going, kind and sensible approach to customer service is evident after being in the car with him for just a few minutes.
