Bolt’s internship programme returns to support the career development of women in Ghana

Internship at Bolt Nigeria

In honour of International Women’s day, we’re supporting strong and ambitious women who choose to challenge the notion that the tech industry is a man’s world.

We’re excited to bring back our internship programme, designed to help women kick-start their careers and create a more equal and diverse tech future in Ghana.

A chance to kick-start your career

Unlike males, females are less likely to consider careers in tech. Women often lack the support and encouragement to pursue a tech career — among male respondents, 33% said that they had someone suggest a tech career to them but among females, this number was only 16%.

For the second year running, we’re launching a month-long internship programme to help women in Ghana gain valuable work experience and fast-track their careers.

Last year’s programme proved successful in sparking interest in tech careers. We’re extremely proud of our interns — Sharon Darko returned for a year-long internship at Bolt, and Keziah Odoi landed a job in tech after the internship.

Thanks to such great feedback, we’re again inviting 12 women to participate in the internship programme to gain skills in such fields as operations.

How to apply

The application process is easy — all you need to do is dedicate 10–15 minutes to answer 7 questions. We accept responses up until March 30th, 2022.

We’ll review all applications and contact the successful candidates in April.

The internship will run from May until June. It’s a paid internship, and you don’t need previous experience to apply — we all start somewhere.

Nominate the perfect candidate

There’s no better Woman’s Day present than helping your friend take her first step on the tech career path.

Let her know about our programme and share the application form with her!
