The more zero-emission kilometres, the better the cities.

Our ambition

By 2030, we’re aiming to raise the share of zero-emission vehicles on our ride-hailing platform to 50% across Europe, with some markets reaching 70%.

We know from driver feedback that the shift to zero-emission vehicles depends on their confidence in accessing and driving them as conveniently as conventional vehicles. That’s why we’re focused on reducing barriers, with one goal in mind: making ZEVs the better alternative.

Bolt’s long-term environmental commitment is to become a carbon net-zero company by 2040. With ride-hailing representing the majority of emissions generated on our platform, increasing the number of zero-emission vehicles is our priority.

Improve access to zero-emission vehicles and driver awareness

35% of ride-hailing drivers say EV prices are the main barrier to switching and 60% want more information about EVs before doing so.*

We partner with manufacturers and financing providers to offer solutions that better fit ride-hailing drivers’ needs.

We focus on driver awareness by sharing information about Bolt’s electrification initiatives, driver experiences, as well as support mechanisms and incentives available.

We support drivers and fleet owners in assessing the business case for their electric fleet and consult them on transition roadmaps.

Cut operating costs

The lower cost of electricity compared to petrol and diesel and reduced vehicle maintenance costs mean EVs are, on average, more economical to run than conventional vehicles.

Smooth rides

EVs offer a quieter and more comfortable experience. Drivers who made the switch say EVs are easier to drive and maintain.

Better cities

Each EV replacing a combustion engine helps cut carbon pollution. But the real impact depends on the grid’s power mix. To ensure EV drivers can transport passengers emissions-free*, Bolt partners with charging operators that provide 100% renewable electricity.*This refers to well-to-wheel emissions and does not take into account emissions produced during the vehicle manufacturing stage.

  • Efficient urban pollution reduction
    The average ride-hailing driver covers up to 5 times the daily mileage of a regular private car driver. Electrifying shared mobility will thus lead to more zero-emission kilometres and less air and noise pollution.
  • Sustainable urban transport systems

    Ride-hailing and other modes of shared mobility already contribute to public transport systems by bridging gaps in public networks. With electrified shared mobility, cities can offer convenient, affordable, and sustainable transport alternatives for every purpose a private car serves.

Továbbá, a Swedbankkal és a Luminorral való együttműködésünk segít bővíteni a Bolt Drive hibrid és elektromos autóflottáját.
